Joining a Syndicate
The sharing of ownership offered through a syndicate will be the most cost effective and fun way of being involved with quality horses, that have the potential to compete at Badminton and Burghley and even the 2012 London Olympics, as well as other National and International events.
Why would you want to join a syndicate?
By joining a syndicate and keeping a horse with an experienced team in eventing, you can be involved with this thrilling sport at top level. Lucy has a proven ability to produce horses to the highest standard and the aptitude to compete successfully at top level. Syndication of event horses is the most cost effective method of ownership at a top level.
How many people are there in each syndicate?
This varies, from between 5 to a maximum of 15 people.
How much does a share cost?
This would depend on the syndicate costs and would range from £2,000 up to £10,000
What does the price of a share include?
The price of a share covers all expenses including the purchase and the training of the horse for the first year. A smaller sum, clearly stated on the agreement form, would be due for subsequent years.
When and where are the competitions?
Mainly in the UK and Europe, from March to October. Eventing is a high exposure sport with an average of three competition days per week and International competitions lasting up to 5 days. The events provide quality hospitality, entertainment and shopping, often at magnificent venues including the grounds of numerous famous, private stately homes.
Which competitions will my horse be going to?
Owners are kept fully informed as to the progress and competition plans of their horse. This is done through email, fax and most importantly, by personal communication on the telephone.
How long does the syndicate last for?
The duration of each syndicate differs but generally lasts for a minimum of two seasons. An attractive offer would always be carefully considered by Lucy and she would confer with the rest of the syndicate.
